An African Retreat To Remember
Experience an unforgettable journey with our African safari retreats in Kenya, where you can reconnect with your true self in less than a week. If you’re ready to rediscover yourself through a luxurious safari adventure, we look forward to welcoming you to the wild. Live amid breathtaking wildlife and vast landscapes, feel your soul unwind, and reconnect with yourself like never before.
Our Laikipia-based retreats offer a one-of-a-kind wellness experience, accessible for all levels. Imagine the stories you’ll create—mornings spent horseback riding through the bush, sunset yoga sessions overlooking the savannah, and nights falling asleep to the distant roar of lions. Laikipia is home to extraordinary wildlife, including nearly half of Kenya’s black rhino population, several thriving packs of African wild dogs, the rare Grevy’s zebra, and over 2,000 elephants roaming freely across this pristine habitat.
Begin your day with coffee as elephants graze nearby, replace the daily commute with a sunlit walk across African plains, and unwind with our custom fitness sessions each morning and evening. Our lodges offer a home-away-from-home atmosphere, complete with a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a large sitting area, dining room, bar, and spacious veranda—all with unobstructed views of the wilderness.
The Laikipia lodges are elegant, exclusive, and informal, set in tens of thousands of acres of prime wildlife habitat. Here, you can gallop alongside zebras, ride camels to breakfast, walk with elephants, enjoy open-air game drives in 4x4s, track leopards by torchlight, swim in rivers, and leap from waterfalls. This isn’t just a world-class safari—it’s a chance to ground yourself through wellness classes and workshops led by our team of expert instructors.
Picture waking up in a handcrafted treehouse overlooking the plains, heading to the lodge for a meditative morning yoga session, followed by a thrilling horseback ride alongside zebras. Feel the wind in your hair, the thrill of keeping pace with wild animals, and the shared excitement of your fellow travelers. Imagine nights gathered around a campfire under a moonlit sky, trading stories and laughter. How deeply connected to yourself and others would you feel in that moment?
This is just a glimpse of what our safari retreat offers. After over a year of planning and preparation and with dedicated hosts who have years of experience, this is a truly one-of-a-kind adventure.

Both Lengishu and Borana Conservancy are deeply committed to sustainability. Constructed with locally sourced materials and crafted by local artisans, Lengishu is a testament to eco-conscious design. Conservation fees paid by guests directly fund efforts to protect the endangered black rhino and its habitat. At Lengishu, guests can learn how the Borana Conservancy supports wildlife conservation, empowers local communities, and the positive impact of each stay.
Borana Lodges
Located at the base of Mount Kenya, Borana Conservancy spans 32,000 acres of diverse terrain, offering a perfect wildlife sanctuary with both mountain and arid landscapes. This conservancy, which introduced black rhinos in 2013, has allowed the population to flourish. In 2014, Borana removed its borders with Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, creating the expansive Lewa-Borana Landscape, a critical habitat for over 100 black rhinos and 92 white rhinos—housing 14% of Kenya’s rhino population.
Set on a hillside with views of Mount Kenya and a nearby dam where elephants often bathe, Borana Lodge provides a magnificent base for your safari. The lodge’s cottages are carefully designed to blend with the landscape, each with spectacular views. There are four standalone cottages and two family-friendly cottages with shared sitting rooms, ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety.
At Borana Lodge, experienced guides who know the landscape intimately lead each safari. Guests can explore on foot, horseback, by car, or mountain bike, making each day a new experience. With safari horses, game walks, biking trails, and a Safari Spa, Borana Lodge offers something for every taste.
Borana Lodge is part of the Long Run initiative, which prioritizes the “4Cs”: community, culture, conservation, and commerce. All profits from Borana Lodge are reinvested into the conservancy’s conservation projects. By staying at Borana, each guest directly supports wildlife preservation efforts, making this a truly purposeful travel experience.
Enjoy a safari with heart—where every moment spent in this stunning environment contributes to a future for Kenya’s magnificent wildlife.
